Introducing the X-Bar by Hayman Reese

Merging over 70 years of towbar expertise with tough 4×4 design, Hayman Reese’s latest innovation in towbars, the X-Bar.

A rugged, go-anywhere towbar engineered for off-road. The X-Bar provides an increased departure angle and 3 rated recovery points to get you out of any situation. While practical design elements such as integrated bash plates and protected trailer plug mounting points keep you going when the going gets tough.

When your out 4WDriving in Australia’s vast outback, and exploring new country, vehicle recovery will often be necessary. When this occurs it’s important to understand how to safely and effectively get you or a friend out. Often for rear recovery, people will use of the towbar hitch box (with a D-shackle recovery point installed) as a connection for the recovery strap.

This may be seen as adequate, however a standard towbar is not designed or tested for the extreme recovery loads generated by a vehicle bogged in the mud. The worst-case scenarios are when 4WDrivers attach recovery straps directly over tow balls. To avoid damaging your vehicle, the X-bar is designed with recovery in mind, it has 3 recovery points rated to 8 tonnes (middle) and 4 tonnes (each side point) to allow you to safely and effectively get out of a sticky situation.

The X-bar is available on Ute body (tray), Cab Chassis and now SUV variants of many popular vehicles.
